Meet Michel

As a 2nd Generation Realtor®, Michel Ann (“Michelle”) Maroney has truly grown up immersed in the business dating back to 1976 when she shadowed her Mother as a young girl. Following in her mother’s footsteps became reality when she earned her real estate license 2009.  She then obtained her Broker’s license in 2017 and opened her own brokerage in Bedford County, TN.    

The brokerage name was Maroney Real Estate and is where the "Homes By MRE" or "the MRE Group" tag lines and social media profi names come from.  The brokerage was a true joy to Michel Ann; a way to serve clients with the heart she pours into all those she works with, as well as a way to meet new agents and mentor them.  The MRE Family, as the Agents & Broker often referred to themselves, was alive and well for almost three years until a career move in the Maroney Household led them to close the brokerage in July of 2020 and move two hours south, to Northern Alabama.  It was 2020 when Michel Ann obtained her Alabama brokers license and continues to be dual licensed, serving residential real estate needs from Middle TN to N. AL. 

This is when she became the managing broker of Impact Realty in Murfreesboro, TN and obtained her broker's license in AL as well.  

Now an Associate Broker at Doyle Real Estate in AL (256-739-1444) and Realtor® & Marketing Rep for Red Door Real Estate in TN (931-433-8699), Michel Ann has been serving clients from Middle TN to N. AL and continues to assist young entrepreneurs, real estate agents and individuals alike through the CYS platform.  

Michel’s heart for people, customer service experience, and marketing skills are definitely put to use in her transactions, coaching and mentoring her agents.  She has stated before that she believes every move, be it buying/selling or a career move, is a part of someone’s journey in life.  

She is a huge encourager for her clients and agents, and will have their back through each process of their journey. 

She tells us it is these journeys in life that we must trust family, friends, church family and yes…

even trusted professionals, to be alongside us making each move a smooth transition….AND that is her goal!

When she’s not working she can be found spending time with her family, enjoying time with her grandchildren, 

crafting, taking photos, journaling, listening to audiobooks and enjoying various adventures with her husband, Don.  

We have heard her say, she feels a year without at least one trip to the beach is a year missing something!
